When I was younger, I wished for a perfect love that would stay. People laughed and told me it was impossible; that love was imperfect in itself. Growing older, I realised they lied. Love can indeed be perfect…and stay.

This is how God loves you; He sent His only begotten Son to die for you thousands of years before you were born because He knew that you would need the redemption and justification He would provide.

He has given you all things in Christ and has seated you in heavenly places. He has given you a seal of promise- His spirit in you that leads you only in paths of righteousness. He leads you not because of anything else but for His name sake. He has put His reputation on the line to show His love and goodness to you and He will never fail you.

Even in the midst of the storm, you can rest easy knowing that you are safe and secure. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, you sing and dance because you know no evil can befall you. Even when you were still in sin, God loved you. His love has never departed from you for one second. He watches and rejoices over you with singing.

You are not asking for too much. The love you deserve is readily available in God.
