New Year, New Me!!!

Or not!

You people know by now not to believe my promises of consistency when it comes to this blog. However, I like how you constantly have faith that the new year might be when I finally change my bad character. One day, I’ll surprise you and myself because tell me why this post was written and ready to be dropped on the 6th of January yet I am just getting to it.

Firstly, I want to use this opportunity to wish you guys a happy new year. It’s been a beautiful ride with you these last 5 years and I’m glad that despite my woran woran, I can boast of 150 people - at least - who read the various intrusive thoughts I have in my head. I do not take your love and support for granted. I also promise to always be on my worst behaviour on here 🤭

Now to the breaking news of today.

Guys, I just clocked 4 years of being celibate. Like 4 years celibacy anniversary!!!!! Firstly, I begged God that I didn’t want to do 5 years in this no-sex-before-marriage business so He should help me bring my husband fast. Omo! With how things are going right now, once I sight my bus stop, I’ll shout “Owa” and come down when I get there. It is well.

Getting serious now, I have lived for God, His kingdom and His purpose for 4 years. So surreal. While I initially made mistakes in my walk, as with every child learning to use their feet, it has been such a beautiful experience. One I desire for all. Sometimes I think back to my past and it is such an out-of-body experience for me. If anyone told me then that I would be here someday living for His glory, I would have muttered “All these spirikoko people” and crossed to the other side of the road. However, I’m here now and He is so beautiful. The God that chased me through all of my failures, fights and rejections of Him.

I think the most beautiful part about my life is being living proof that it is possible. If that’s all you’ll get from this blog post, then you’ve got the right idea. My life has become proof of the potency of the transformative power of the Almighty. Just by observance, people have desired Him and found Him. While the gospel needs to be preached with words, I believe your life should be its biggest example and corroboration.

I am a living testimony of what God can do with a yielded life and it’s only going to get better. 4 years down this road and I’m just getting started. The devil is in serious trouble because I am on a perpetual victory parade in bringing all things in subjection to Christ. Tell him (I truly hope you don’t know him) that this sheriff is still in town and she has more strength and resources to take him down. This kingdom partner will forever change the norm in realms, dimensions, nations, generations and systems and there’s nothing, absolutely nothing, he can do to stop this.

To that one desiring this life and wondering how possible it is, take that leap of faith. He’ll catch you. Don’t look back or down. Look forward at the One stretching forth His hands to you. The One desiring you with all of the baggage you think you have. Take a hold of Him and never let go. His Spirit is able to guide and shape your life. All you need to do is believe that Christ was born and He died to save you from the slavery of sin. That He is not just a prophet but your saviour. That’s all.

Believing in this finished work of Christ has brought you into a new family. One where love is our watchword and we exhibit it through love for Him that has brought us out of darkness into His marvellous light and love for people He has created. In this family, we take discipleship very seriously so please find a Bible-believing and based church, plant your feet there and be watered by the word so you can grow.

My people, in all of my many story, make sure God can count on you when He needs a man and make boast like He did with Abraham. Live above the systems of this world and rely solely on His word. Live a life of obedience and total surrender. Live for Him. It's worth it.
