Self care should be an important part of oneās routine.
In a world where we give so much of ourselves without getting anything back, unconsciously seek the approval, appreciation, attention and admiration of others, it is always a great reminder to be intentional about oneās mental health.
Investing quality time in oneās self is paramount. Our bodies, souls and minds need to be recharged regularly. We need peace and quiet time to enable us inwardly reflect and make the right decisions.
When was the last time you focused on you solely? When was the last time you did something for the sole purpose of making yourself happy? When was the last time you put yourself first?
In the hustle and bustle of this world, it is easy to worry about a lot and lose sight of whatās important, YOU.
You need to learn to cater to your own needs first no matter how small they seem, slow down and enjoy that which you truly love or an activity that relaxes you. Make plans for just you and gift yourself with something that makes you happy. You need to be intentional about loving you.
With this in mind, I decided to make a January self care list that hopefully helps you take that step towards putting yourself first. I hope you follow through and of course, enjoy it. Donāt forget to save it and share also.
Remember, you cannot pour from an empty jar.
P.S: I want to say a super big thank you to my manager, Richiie Davies. Creating this list was not easy and I sent him over twenty edits from colours, to templates, to even the various items on it. He never for once complained but was the perfect critic and editor. We brainstormed together and finally the list we could both settle on was created. He also made sure the write up that accompanied it was perfect.
