A very big deal 💪🏾

In the past few months I’ve been away, I’ve written 3 blogposts that I have refused to drop (tbh I no know why I Dey hoard writeups like indominnn. Ore I’m sorry 😢). However, I am at work and my friend replied to my tweet and the next thing, inspiration don set. I don attach the tweet so you guys will see how random inspiration strikes me. Also, why “post your fine picture and go” when you can attach it to a nice blogpost?

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”. That’s the moral of this story so if you no wan read the full thing, at least take that away. My spirit go swear for you sha but you don carry moral instruction. You see ehn, that verse is so so apt. Seems like something basic but when you deep it, e loud die.

In the course of their journey on Earth, most people pray to get married to “the one”. I do not believe there’s just one person you’re supposed to spend your life with but that’s story for another day. Anyway, they spend their lives searching for that person their heart craves and falling deeply in love with them. Sometimes, you end up at the crossroads of liking a few people and who exactly to go steady with becomes an issue. It is at this crossroads that the previous me would have said “Why date one when you can have them all?” but we thank God for grace.

There’s a quote I saw back in university and I sincerely wish I applied to my life sooner but it’s better late than never. It says “Run towards God and if anyone keeps up, introduce yourself”. Like one of the bible verses we learnt in our early years in Sunday school, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. You see, as a Christian, Jesus should be YOUR way, YOUR truth and YOUR life.

If anyone wants to get to you or influence your feelings, they are supposed to go through Christ. Before you take decisions, you are supposed to follow the way of the cross and determine if it is what is expected of you at that point in your life. Your heart is supposed to be embedded in Him that anyone who wants it has to seek Him, infact search really deep within Him, to get it.

You are not for everyone. You are a special gift that only a few should have special access to. You need to come to the awareness of who you are in Christ and let that set the tone for every aspect of your life. Understand that you’re the child of THE King. He has called you His own. You are God’s Nkem. You are priceless. You are a very big deal. You deserve to be seen and the seat at the table is yours for taking. Stop shrinking yourself and/or settling for bare minimum.

In as much as we love to fret about things we have no control over, I firstly want to let you know that God has perfect plans to give you a future and hope. When the future God has prepared for you is ripe and available, He Himself will let you know. E just remain make you listen and no follow do coconut head.

Lastly, one thing that robs people of their peace is the whole timeline idea. In the words of Falzthebhadguy, place focus where focus is due. Let go of your age, what you think you should have achieved or what your friends/age mates are achieving and put your entire life in the Hands of The Potter. He’ll mould you perfectly.

I cannot wait to see us all live perfect love stories in line with God’s will for us. Remember, love comes in different forms. Also as you Dey read, equate love to whatever you feel is lacking in your life right now. It could be money, a job, friendship, scholarship, anything. This post can take whatever form you let it.
